Simple Present
Use the Simple Present to express the idea that an action is repeated or usual. The action can be a habit, a hobby, a daily event, a scheduled event or something that often happens. It can also be something a person often forgets or usually does not do.

1. In the positive form add a ’s’ to the base
form of the 3rd person singular. If the
verb ends in -y preceded by a consonant,
change the -y to -ies.
2. I, You, We, They -> eat lunch at noon.
3. He, She, It -> works well in any situation.

USE
- Se usa para hablar de acciones inacabadas que están ocurriendo ahora, en el momento de hablar.
- Las expresiones de tiempo que suelen acompañar al presente continuo son: now (ahora), right now (ahora mismo), at the moment (en este momento) y at present (actualmente).
FORM
- Se forma con el presente del verbo to be + base form acabado en ing.
- El verbo to be no es el principal sino el auxiliar. En inglés informal suele usarse en forma contraída:
Regular form Contracted form He is having a shower.
She is speaking on the phone.
I am fixing this box.He’s having a shower.
